Statement

Astronomer Galileo Galilei is most widely known for his celestial discoveries and other contributions to science, but he was also a gifted visual artist. This ongoing project combines long exposures with purposeful motion to present imaginings from the right side of Galileo’s brain – paintings in which our Earth’s moon is both his palette and his muse.
